Who We Are

Started in July 2011, the NOLA Food Swap was founded by Molly Reeder, artist and baker extraordinaire. Swaps are currently coordinated by Jamie Broussard, with local support and hosting from La Divina Gelateria. The NOLA Food Swap takes place about once a month and is open to anyone with a love and appreciation for delicious, wholesome food. We hope to promote New Orleans food culture through sharing food with others.

Our Mission

The NOLA Food Swap brings people who love to make food together by encouraging them to share and trade their creations with others. Food swaps promote a slow food movement by bringing the art of cooking back into the home and supporting our local community and economy through encouraging the use of local ingredients. The NOLA Food Swap  is a great way to find food inspiration and meet people with similar interests.
